Hi all,

Hope this is not a stupid question. When in NYC and you don't drive but want to do shopping in Cartier, Rolex, and Tiffany....are you okay carring the shopping bags on 5th ave and take taxi or walk to your hotel? TIA. Xx

Yes but you may want to wear what you bought until the hotel. Or carry a bigger bag you can put you shopping in / consolidate.

Cartier put my DH's bag in a big white unmarked bag for him when he shopped for me there in Vegas so he wouldn't be seen walking with it.

Generally it's fine, I've never had (or seen or heard of) anyone having any issues with this. I know it's a huge city and things change by the minute, but I wouldn't be too worried. If it makes you feel better, you can always carry a bigger unmarked shopping bag and keep the jewelry inside it :)

I would take the jewelry and wear it on my body, then carry the bag/box in an unmarked bag.
That's what I do as well. And I don't wear anything of the same category I'm going to buy. For example, if I'm going to buy a watch, I won't wear a watch. That way, I don't run the risk of leaving the one I came with behind or misplacing it.
