Shopping in Europe

Hello everyone! I was wondering since I live in the USA and say I went to London and Paris to shop and brought bags back home with me does anyone know if I would have to pay tax after it is declared? Thanks for any and all help!!

It's $800 limit per person. For example, I traveled with my husband and daughter and was able to bring in $2,400 worth of merchandise without paying tax when entering the US. There's a lot of topics about VAT on tpf.

You can also get tax refund at the European airports.
