I am new to VCA and have only purchased a few items so far from my NYC SA ! I really want to do a pair of mirrored Frivole earrings in YG size small or Large, my SA says they are a pretty long wait and I also called customer service to get on the wishlist. I'm headed to Paris and Amsterdaam in 2 weeks..... is stock different there? Should I try to find them there even though the USD value is not in my favor! Or do I just do the wishlist here?? Am I going to wait a year? LOL...... just trying to manage expectations!

I went to Paris last fall, so this is dated information, but I requested via email before my appointment to try on any size small frivole earrings. At the time of my appointment, no one had read my request and they did not have any stock for me to try. I just wanted to check comfort. I never got an email to let me know this in advance which I would have just cancelled the appointment. I found the experience disappointing. I prefer my appointments with my SA in the US and have stopped shopping for VCA abroad.

I don't shop Frivole, so I cannot advise re: stock levels.

However, if you're staying at nicer hotels, try sending an email to the concierge(s) with what you're looking for. They should be able to get the ball rolling with a local boutique (being able to pick up the phone and converse in the local language definitely helps), check stock levels, and schedule an appointment.

In my experience, this works virtually everywhere in Paris except Hermes (naturally).
