Shopping at Toronto International Airport?

Hi lovelies!

I’m currently traveling in Toronto with my Dad and we’re leaving this Saturday in the late afternoon - he’s flying out of Terminal 1 and I’m leaving out of Terminal 3. I’d really love to get my hands on a Toronto branded Longchamp bag without giving up time seeing some popular sites for having to take a long uber ride to any of the malls/shopping centers for a bag. What I’m wondering is would I be able to go through security/customs with him at Terminal 1 so I could get my bag and then move to Terminal 3 for my flight, or am I doomed to play real life Monopoly by having to go straight to Terminal 3 without passing the store? My dad said he’d be willing to get my bag for me if he really had to, but I’d rather not have to subject him to that if possible!

Hey! I am not a Toronto local but was there (domestic) this year. The security queues these days are extraordinary and I wouldn't risk going through Security in one terminal, then getting out and going to another, personally. There have also been tons of cancellations and delays at Pearson International this year.

Had no idea there was a Toronto Longchamp bag! Hope you can get it! Others who travel more frequently may have other thoughts here.

I didn't visit Longchamp when I was there but Yorkdale Shopping centre is really nice for shopping and there was a $20 gift card offer if you spent over a certain amount, for tourists. Enjoy your trip!

Thank you so much for your response! I was really hoping there was a way for me to be able to move between terminals without having to clear security/customs twice but it sounds like that's not possible.

I did contact the store at the Yorkdale Shoppjng Centre to confirm they have the city-specific bag (black and white stripes with the city name across it), but it's a good 13km from where we're staying which was why I was hoping to avoid having to go all the way out there.

You're welcome! I'm pretty sure there's longchamp within some Holt renfrew stores if that's nearer. Though one of the Holts is at Yorkdale.

Pretty sure with security you could also only go through if you had boarding pass valid for that terminal, they checked all that. But I've never tried to enter another terminal when not flying.

I felt so bad dragging my dad to the mall on the way to the airport, but I got it and we actually think we saved time since the parade for Carabana is happening in Toronto today so we may not have had such an easy time leaving after all.
