Shipping Question

Hello Hermès experts!

I bought a pair of Oran sandals for my mom for her birthday from Hermès Dallas. They are shipping them to me and I should receive them today. Which shipping company does Hermès use? I assume I will have to sign for the package, correct?

This is my first time ordering over the phone so thanks for your insight!

Yes, and you'll likely need to sign for them.

Yes it's FedEx. You have to be at the delivery location to sign for the package and can't require the package to be held at FedEx location to pick it up and sign for it...

You can have it held, but you have to call Hermès and have them contact FedEx to do it. It can’t be done with FedEx directly. I’ve done it for just about every order I’ve placed.

I’ve been able to pick up/ ask for hold at facility by using their (fedex) delivery manager feature. It requires a “sign up” but is free of charge.

Hmm, it's never let me hold for pickup through the FedEx delivery manager before (I have an account). Maybe next time I'll try calling Hermes to see if there is an account setting on their side they need to change to let that happen.

It’s never let me change the delivery method on my end either. The shipper is the only one that can change that feature. Hermes sets it that way.
Didn’t you get a shipping email from Hermes and from FedEx when the item was shipped so you could track it?

I don’t know what to say, mine was probably a fluke the couple times I did it. I’m usually at home as I track the deliveries and know when my store is shipping out product.
