Shipping packaging

hello!!

I received my online order for the Pochette Metis yesterday and it is in a smaller box than I was expecting. My hubby is getting it as an xmas gift and so he is very adament I don’t open the brown shipping box or else I will play with the bag before Xmas lol

However I don’t think my bag came in an LV box, I don’t mind because I throw the boxes out anyways but I was just curious if all online orders come in a box inside the shipping box? I did not say I need the gift packaging.

Every item I ordered via the LV website came boxed, except for agenda refills, which I think came wrapped in a sort of envelope.

The PM is a small bag and LV likes compact boxing for little to no movement. The LV box is probably a tad smaller than the brown packing box it came in.

Do not worry your bag will be in an LV box and with red Christmas ribbon around it too. Merry Christmas.

Firstly, I don’t think it’s wise to not open the box to check. Many things can go wrong with an online order and it’s best to check it before the refund period is over.
Secondly, if you bought it from LV.com why do you think your bag did not come in an LV box when you haven’t opened it?
Thirdly, yes, all items should come in boxes and ribbons. However, I’ve had stuff come in boxes too small for the item, and the purse was folded to fit. Very bad packaging from LV.

I suggest he checks it - if he doesn’t want you to open it. All my on line order came in an LV box with the ribbons, etc. however my Neverfull was put into a box too small for my liking and it was a little crushed. So I would have someone check.

Let's note that some items do come folded flat like Keepalls, Speedies, NFs, etc.

My Pochette Metis was in a small size ups box but it did indeed come inside a LV box

Mine was only one pound shipping weight and I kind of freaked out until I opened it. Mine was in a LV box inside the box with some brown paper around it for packing.

My Pochette Metis came in a pretty large shipping box with a LV box inside however my LV box was damaged, torn and crushed, so I'm not able to display it under the tree nor keep it for storing my bag.

All my orders came in a LV box inside the shipping box. You or your husband should open it to check the contents incase there are any issues with the item (I do this with all online orders). If you wait until Christmas then you may be outside the refund window.

Let's note that some items do come folded flat like Keepalls, Speedies, NFs, etc.

Yes I wouldn’t mention it if it were one of those that is suppose to be folded. But it wasn’t, it was actually the rcp. This was how it was folded to fit into the box. They actually folded it almost in half. Hah!

I’ll be making my very first brand new LV purchase next week and I’m very excited but I wanted to know if the store will package it in a box with a ribbon as well? It may be silly but for my very first purchase I would like the extra-ness of that box. It means a lot to me so if you know that they don’t do it please let me know so I can just place the order online. Thank you!

Yes, you should get a box with a ribbon. And since it's the holiday season you should get the red holiday ribbon instead of the normal blue one. You will get a bag too, maybe even a holiday bag (not sure if they have that this year).

SAs will usually box everything up but, if the item you buy is very big, they might not unless you ask them to. Simply ask the SA to box your purchase!
