Hi
would like to seek advice of TPFers who've had croc/ostrich shipped into Hong Kong. Are the HK customs very strict about these products ?

I'm planning to get an item shipped to a friend there but don't want it confiscated at customs. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

They do check for CITES occasionally .. Please make sure the seller has one included.

hi birkinette,

I have bought a croco kelly from Britain and shipped it to HK, it comes with copy of the cites. Not a problem at all. The original is posted separately. Hope this info is helpful

thanks for your note. I didn't want to risk it getting stuck at HK customs, so i didn't get it shipped to HK. I sent someone to collect it on my behalf instead.

What kelly did you get ? Reveal pls ?

I just bought a croc kelly cut from Japan and Hermes SA there said no CITES is required when bringing the bag to Hong Kong owing to the recent change in CITES policy.

Hi Birkinette,

I got a Kelly 32 Retourne orange shiny porosus with a palladium buckle. i am so sorry but I have never posted any pictures on TPf before. Will try to do that soon. What about you? What croco did you get? curious curious;)
