Hello all, anybody has experiences with shipping H (or expensive items) from norway to hk? I have a cousin who is on temporary assignment in Norway. I wanted to ask her to look out for stuffs at the local hermes store there and ship to hk. I would like to know if i have to pay duties for the items entering hk from norway. I know for expensive items coming from america is tax free cause i did it before but i just want to make sure it is the same with norway. Thank you all in advance.

It depends on HK rules. If no tax for items from USA, guessing there will no tax for items from Norway either. Make sure your cousin remembers to claim 18% VAT from shopping in Norway ;)

There is no import duties in HK. It doesn't matter what is the value of the item entering HK, you will not be taxed. Well except if you are shipping in alcohol (e.g. French wines) then I think you'll be taxed under alcohol tax.
