What is Chanel et moi? I purchased it less than a year ago. I did message my SA. No response yet.Sorry about thisI would take it to boutique and see what they say. Chanel et moi is good for 5 years.
It’s basically five year warranty if you got the bag from the boutique. What is Chanel et moi? I purchased it less than a year ago. I did message my SA. No response yet.
I would bring it in and ask for a manager. Should not look like that less than a year in with little use. What is Chanel et moi? I purchased it less than a year ago. I did message my SA. No response yet.
Wow I didn’t know that! Are only repairs covered or replacement? It’s basically five year warranty if you got the bag from the boutique.
she said to send it into the boutique and they will send it off for repair but the best that they could do is re-dye the edges.I would bring it in and ask for a manager. Should not look like that less than a year in with little use.
Looks like coated lambskin, and seems like you wore it crossbody for long periods of time. I’m extremely careful when wearing a bag crossbody so my bags don’t have any wear in corners even I had them for years.Good morning everyone I have a mini Chanel Thirty-one the shiny lambskin I believe. I have had the bag less than a year and I just noticed that it’s not the bottom of the bag but it’s the front edges and one back edge that have worn off. I have probably only worn the bag 10 times if that. It seems that the leather coating on the bag is very very thin. I contacted my SA and told her that I was devastated and what could be done and the only thing that she offered was to send it to have the corners re-dyed. I asked her about exchanging the bag and she said that was not an option.
Has anyone had an issue like this and had a better experience with Chanel? Also, has anyone put their bag through Chanel Et Moi and had the edges repaired? I’m wondering how it’s going to look I would love to see pictures? I’m having a feeling that the bag is not going to look very good as the leather is that shiny crinkly leather and since they’re just going to dye you’re going to be able to tell because the leather was actually shiny in those places.

I did wear a Crossbody but not for long periods of time. I have used this bag maybe 10 times at the most. I am wondering what it’s going to look like after they re-dye the edges? I was hoping someone could post pictures of their bag with this being done.Looks like coated lambskin, and seems like you wore it crossbody for long periods of time. I think black is less noticeable when repaired. I was hoping someone could post some pictures of before and after. This looks like the bag inadvertently scratched/ was scratched. This happened to two Hermes bags of mine, neither of which can be worn crossbody. It can happen without you even noticing (I didn’t, and my bags, like yours, don’t get much use ). It was addressed by a professional. I don’t have before /after pics, but I don’t notice the repair. Decades ago, I did take my bags in to Chanel 57 for repair ( where my mom purchased them). This was maybe in the 1990s when there was a little repair receiving closet like a coat check. They were black lamb skin and restored perfectly. I don’t think lamb is as delicate as some TPFers believe, but I’ve had good experiences.
The wear is quite pronounced, simple dye is not going to fix it, it need to be filled then painted. It will look like new if fixed appropriately. But if you continue wear the way you wear it, it will happen again.Sorry I meant shiny lambskin
