Shia LaBeouf was ARRESTED after acting crazy in a New York City club, then threatening cops and club security.
Shia was at a showing of "Cabaret" at the legendary Studio 54 Thursday night ... when he was smoking inside -- which is against the law -- and "alarming people" by his conduct by being extremely loud and obscene.
Witnesses say Shia appeared extremely drunk, reportedly played grab *** with some of the actors on stage and then flew into a rage, spitting on people.
As for the threats to law enforcement ... Shia reportedly told police, "I'll f*** you up."
Police came and arrested the actor and took him to the cop shop. Shia was charged with criminal trespass and disorderly conduct.
Shia is still in custody. He's set to go before a judge Friday morning.

If you didn’t check your news feed at all on Thursday (June 25), there’s a good chance you haven’t yet heard about Shia LaBeouf‘s arrest at the Broadway show Cabaret… so let us fill you in.
The 28-year-old actor was arrested and escorted out of the theater Studio 54 during the musical’s intermission after he become disorderly during the first act of the show. There was a picture posted on Instagram of him getting led out of the theater. See it here:
News later surfaced that Shia had been smoking cigarettes during the performance and became disorderly among the other patrons. He allegedly was talking loudly throughout the show and even hitting other audience members on the behind. Other audience reports said that he wouldn’t sit down during the performance.
After being escorted out of the theater, Shia was taken to the Midtown North precinct to be questioned by cops. When the NYPD was about to take the handcuffs off the actor, he reportedly told them, “F–k you. I’ll f–k you up.” The cops then decided to not take the handcuffs off so Shia started spitting at them, which led the police to place him in a face mask.
Shia was officially charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of criminal trespassing. It seems he is still being held under arrest.
Just hours before his arrest, Shia was seen hanging out with fans around the Big Apple! He was wearing the same blue t-shirt that he was seen getting arrested in. It seems that he was in good spirits and joked around with the fans. Check out the photos and video:

Shia LaBeouf was drinking and watching the World Cup early Thursday afternoon ... and he was acting just fine.
According to the folks at Iguana NYC ... Shia showed up around 1:00 PM to watch Belgium's World Cup soccer match against South Korea. A bartender there tells us Shia said he wasn't much of a soccer fan, but felt the need to be patriotic because his family was from Belgium.
Shia ordered 2-3 margaritas,pacing himself, and didn't ordered any food. The staff says he was quiet, polite, and nice to everyone. He even posed for a few pics (above) and tipped well.
All in all, he was there for about two hours without incident.
The restaurant is right next door to the theater where Shia went off the hinges.
Multiple witnesses tell TMZ ... Shia showed up outside another bar, Three Monkeys, at around 5:00 PM. They say Shia seemed really angry and drunk and began yelling at a random woman on the street ... who had no idea why Shia was so worked up.
After he was done yelling and pointing at the woman, he went back to chain smoking cigarettes and taking photos with fans.

Shia LaBeouf went ballistic when confronted by security of a Broadway show Thursday night, hurling expletives and screaming everyone's favorite Hollywood phrase, "Do you know who the f*** I am?"
According to the criminal complaint, LaBeouf stood up in the middle of "Cabaret" and was yelling loudly at the actors on stage, disrupting the performance.
When security confronted LaBeouf in an effort to remove him from the theater, he screamed, "F*** you. This is f***ing bull****. Do you know my life? Do you know who the f*** I am? Do you know who I am?"
According to the complaint, once he was brought into the station for processing, LaBeouf spit at a police officer ... landing at the officer's feet.

Shia hit up The Local Peasant in Sherman Oaks ... during his 4 hour visit, LaBeouf meandered to the back of the restaurant ... and the manager got suspicious.
Eyewitnesses tell us the manager followed Shia to the parking lot, where he saw the actor peeing on the wall, so he called LaBeouf out. Shia profusely apologized in an odd rant.
LaBeouf wasn't done ... he went back inside and tried ordering food, but the manager had enough and told Shia to get out. The 2 had words, Shia paid his tab and stormed out vowing never to return.

Something is very off about him. It's kinda sad, I first heard of him on Project Greenlight (season 2 I think. what a great show, I wish they had done more seasons) since I am way to old for Even Stevens or Holes. He was completely charming on that show. His hippie Mom was on a lot too (since he was an underage actor she was always with him) and the 2 of them were a hoot.
I think he and Lohan have a lot in common - strange upbringings, pushed (or at least unprepared for) child stardom, no one holding them accountable. Wonder if he can turn it around...
