Hi all,
I'm currently looking at clinics for my rhino revision, and find that there are tons of Korean reviews on Sungyesa and Gangnam Unni. Of course the reviews might be sponsored, but at least looking at these reviews and real-life B&A photos, you might be able to see the doctor's style better.

For Gangnam Unnie:
- Download the app
- Screenshot the registration page
- Download Google Translator, and upload the registration page screenshot to translate Korean ->English.
- Fill in registration and done.
- After having an account, basically search the keyword of the surgery you want. Some keywords for rhino as below:
Nostril reduction: 콧볼축소
Rib: 늑골
Nasolabial angle: 비순각
Osteotomy: 절골술
Bokko (fat nose tip): 복코
- Each review will state the doctor and the clinic at the end, so you can click on the name of clinic and find more reviews. Of course will need to google translate all these pages to understand the filtering.
- If you already have in mind a clinic that you want to look up review: go on google.com, search the clinic website as keyword, then in the result page, they will have the name of the clinic in Korean next to the web. Copy that Korean name and paste onto Gangnam Unnie.
- Reciprocally, if you really like a clinic found on Gangnam Unnie and want to look up their website, but cannot copy the name because the app doesn't let you (something about Korean websites/app don't allow user to copy text), you can screenshot the Gangnam Unnie page with the clinic's name, then put that page in Google translate, and choose " Show original text", then copy the highlighted text and voila, you can search the clinic's name on google.com.

For sungyesa:
- The registration for foreigner account must be done via email: send an email to with the ID you want to register, and a photo of your passport (blur out all info and photo except for Name, Gender, DOB). They will confirm back your account and password. More detailed instruction here (again use Google translator plugin for browser): https://sungyesa.com/new/
- I also look up the reviews here in the clinic review section and in the forum section. I also see people discussing clinics so this may help us to find more favorite clinics by locals.
- Note: I found 1 clinic that has the same reviews posted on both Gangnam Unnie and Sungyesa on the same day. To me, this is a bad signal as these reviews might be sponsored and highly biased. However, from what I read on Sungyesa, most of the clinics will give discount if you promise to post review after surgery, so I guess these reviews are still true to some extent. Just make sure at least the style matches your preference.

Hope that we will all find the suitable clinic for our surgery!

So useful, I wasn’t able to use Gangnam Unnie before this, thanks!!

The Gangnam Unni app has been updated. It now displays promotions exclusively for foreigners.

Other clinics won't display if they don't have a foreign promotion, but you can search for them. The great thing about it is that the reviews auto-translate to English.

They still need to improve their service; I prefer "All About Mei" for available promotions for foreigners.

Ive noticed more english on the app more and more as time goes by. It definitely is becoming easier to look at information on there now.

They have definitely improved, but I’ve noticed that sometimes the app won’t auto-translate. The trick is to exit the review, then reopen it. If auto-translate isn’t working for a specific review, I read another one and then go back to the original. Regarding their consultation inquiries, sometimes they don’t auto-translate to Korean, so I close and reopen the app.

It’s a lot of work but better than do screenshot > use papago/google translate
