Hi,

I just thought I could share my worst returning experience to people who is considering buying from ashadiamonds.com website, so you can be aware of the "cheating things" they do.

Ok, I've ordered a loose stone for $275 with Free shipping. However, I chose to expedite the shipping and I was willing to pay an extra $10 for the express shipping. So my total is $285

However, when I returned my stone to them, they only refund me $260 (please note they said there's no restocking fee for loose stone). I asked them why, they said they took out $25 for the shipping charge!!! What's in the world is that? I really don't expect a BIG website do such LITTLE CHEATING on their customers like that.

So just be aware of that website, if you're considering buying from them, make sure that you don't want to return your item, otherwise you'll just be pissed like I am right now.

I'm not sure that free shipping to you means that there isn't a charge for you to send back the item. Did you arrange with them in advance to return the stone? In that case they should issue an RMA number or include or send you a postage free return tag. Best to call them and try to resolve this.

Did you read their Return policy page?

It states under "Restocking Fees" the following:

RESTOCKING FEES
Because all of our jewelry is made to order we incur significant costs for items returned. Therefore we are forced to charge a small restocking fee on items that are returned or exchanged. Without the small restocking fee, we would be forced to raise our prices significantly or greatly reduce our extensive selection. Restocking fee for items returned or exchanged are as follows (note: minimum of $30 per ring):

1. 14k gold: 10%
2. Palladium: 10%
3. Platinum: 15%

There is NO restocking fee on loose stones unless multiple stones are purchased and returned for a refund (2.5% restocking).

Shipping and insurance charges incurred are not refundable (or in other words, the shipping costs incurred by AshaDiamonds.com.)

This is what the shipping info page states:

FedEx Express 2nd day service is included on all orders over $200. Orders can be upgraded to standard overnight shipping for $20.

And then the return policy which blingaling has posted states that this shipping is not refunded if you send the package back.
