Share Your LV Defect & Resolution

After exchanging a defective Speedy recently, I got to thinking that it might be helpful to have one location to list defects acknowledged by LV & their resolution. I feel I saw mine by pure luck so maybe it could help others.

Here is mine to start:

Bought Speedy B25 DE in November, 2020. Date code was late 2020. The sun was shining in just the right way and I saw a crack in the canvas on the side with the pocket. The crack was right at the end of where the pocket was sewn in. I don‘t have a picture to share. Took it to the Seattle Bravern store, it was deemed a defect, and was able to re-order, exchange, or get store credit.

I purchased a beautiful pochette metis in Turtledove empreinte in October 2020, received it in November 2020. In late February 2021, I noticed the glazing was cracking. I am working from home and haven't used the bag much. I took the bag in to the boutique. The SA took pictures and submitted an email to LV. Their first response to her was that they would repair it for free. She pushed back and said it was a practically new bag and it should be replaced. They agreed and I now have a new bag. Fingers crossed that it doesn't happen again but I am happy they stood behind their product and made it right.

I bought a Victorine wallet in June 2021 and the edge/glazing started cracking by June 2022.

I brought it into the store and they offered to repair it for free and quoted me 32 weeks of repair time. Less than two weeks after I sent the wallet to repair, I got a text saying "Our product expert has identified a quality concern and we are kindly offering an exchange for a new piece." I could exchange for the same product or use it as credit towards a different piece, but no refund.

The SA isn't sure about the specific quality concern but he thinks it could be that LV doesn't want me to wait 32 weeks for the repair so decided to offer me an exchange.
