What are your favourite pieces of customised jewellery?

I tend to customize a lot.. I see them as projects!

My current favorites -

1. South sea pearl earrings with removable jacket that fit my golden south sea and my Tahitians so I can wear the pearls with or without the jacket

3. Diamond earrings that I can wear with or without the dangling south sea pearl

Would love to see what pieces you've commissioned!

I'm thinking of starting a new necklace project!

Thanks for the compliment, Il post my top choice favorite, this is a natural alexandrite pendent, the 12 outside stones are faceted, over 15cts, & the 5 catseye cabs, nat alex too, over 9cts, so the item has over 24.5cts of natural alexandrite in 14kt white gold, measures @ 1.5" in diameter & has very good color change for what it is-stevie...the pics will show daylight, & candlelight using 2 candles in a dark room, best effect...

Thank you! I have a great jewellery but she cost a lot and I limit my self to one project a year. 2016 I will be doing a necklace I think. Or pendant. Thinking of one with diamonds and colored stones! I think of them as pieces I can pass down to my child!

All my pendents are built by John Dixon in Md. He is a master goldsmith & gets better as he stays in the business. He knows gemstones & can fabricate as well-stevie...:cool:

I think one project a year is actually not only financially wise but also prudent when building a jewelry collection. Building too many pieces in a year can be confusing and you won't enjoy each item as much. I look forward to seeing your next project!!:flowers:

You say 1 project a year, Im on the PC quite a lot, I have many projects & I finalized my emerald pendent just recently, my goal was to break the 50ct total gem weight, trying to keep all stones columbian & placing them in a symetrical but pleasing array. I tried to keep the material matched to each stone & did pretty well. The pendent is 3.5" x 2.5" inches, tall & wide, the gold work is 18kt yellow gold, just over 1/2 oz in weight. The frame is built so the flex is at a minimum but the simplicity is still there. The stones are med grade & match pretty well overall. This 'project' has been going since @ 2006 when the 1st stone was bought-here is the complete-stevie...
