Ladies, please help me with buying a shape wear.
I've never had it before. Now, it's time to buy.
I need smth to make my belly flat. I think it should be with a high waist.
Could you please advise me the brands and the shapes you've tried on.
Thank you in advance.

Spanx!!!!!

I own the "Power Panties" to smooth your butt, hips, and thighs. It's great! The only thing is, you can't really wear short dresses/skirts with it because the panty covers a good portion of your thigh!

I know these are really popular:

Its like the Power Panties but they go up to your bust.

Browse the website..they have TONSSS of different styles.

Commando are great too - it's a pair of opaque tights with a wide panel to keep you tucked in at the top. it's a new patent, they're dig free and totally amazing!

I personally hate Spanx, I think they don't do the job whatsoever and make me look like a sausage, apart from being overpriced.
However, the best thing I ever bought was Rago. I have the high waisted girdle, but they also have waist shapers. They don't ride down adn are well constructed. Buy by your waist size.

^ Another vote for Rago. I have one of their open-bottom corsolettes and I love it!

My other favorite piece of shapewear is this waist cincher I bought at Dillard's. It takes a full 2" off my waist and gives a flat stomach & hourglass shape:

I was right on the border of 2 sizes, and I bought the smaller size down. I am short, but mine goes from the bottom of my bra down to the top of my hips, so you don't get any weird bulges or anything. Doing it up is the hardest part, but once you get it done, it totally rocks. It isn't uncomfortable, either, and it won't roll down and give you muffin top like so many shaping garments do. Best of all, it is super cheap.

I hear a lot of ladies on the vintage clothing forums rave about the Squeem waist cinchers, but I don't own one.
