People.com is reporting that Shania Twain and her husband (and producer) Mutt Lange split. This makes me so sad for them both. She always came across as such a down-to-earth woman. They have a son Aja together. They made such beautiful music together. It must have been a beautiful love to create such memorable songs. I have her song "You're Still the One" playing in my head. So sad......

Wow! 14 years! Usually celeb marriages break up after a year or two. It's sad, but maybe they'll be happier people and better parents apart.

Wow, I thought they'd be together forever...very different people but they seemed to make it work...and after all this time! I kinda liked how they made their mark on the country/pop crossover music world together and then chose a quiet life in Switzerland.

The People.com article says she has a new album coming out...I wonder if he produced it? Mutt is a genius at what he does...too bad this didn't work out.

Shania said in an interview that her video for "When you kiss me" was her favorite to make because she was very in love at the time, but then she immediately corrected herself and said "not that i'm not still in love--I love you, honey!" It was such a sweet moment and a sweet video:

To write music like that, I know she and her husband must have been very deeply in love at one time. That's what makes it so sad.
