I've been searching all over for posts about the Shadow crossbody..there's no clubhouse for it either. Please post mod shots and your review/opinions on the bag!
Hi, I've had the Shadow for a couple of weeks and first of all it is beautiful in person. It's a very unique looking bag. I've gotten many compliments on it. I have the black one which is very matte black so I added the black and gold feather charm to give it some color and also because the toggle hang tag tends to come undone. It will fit a couple of SLGs and can neatly hold a good number of other small items. It is a bit heavy and I find mind myself adjusting it from shoulder bag to crossbody as I'm wearing it but that's also because it's fun to play with. The leather is gorgeous and soft but very durable and the key pouch at the back is fabulous. I love it!

Gorgeous! I still want one but can't justify buying another black bag... wish they had more versatile colors, like navy or olive green.

Have you seen the Shadow in pieced leather? It's mostly navy, oxblood and racing green. Pretty versatile colors. Also there is a black and white Shadow in pieced leather and smaller Shadows in racing green, marigold, and adobe. They are adorable. I've seen the small ones online still and at Macy's in store but the bigger Shadows are just on Ebay now I think.

Yeah, I love both but they're hard to find and kind of pricey... A black and burgundy one I was watching recently sold for about $400. I'll keep looking. :crybaby:

I purchased a pieced black and white Shadow last autumn, and still adore it. Pics were back here:

I use it regularly, although I don't use it in rain/snow due to the black suede patches. (Maybe I'm just being paranoid.)

I've never been one to carry a lot (I don't wear make-up, nor do I carry hand-creams, so that right there cuts down some space), so what I do carry fits easily. (There are pics in that earlier thread showing what I carry, and what fits.)

In all honesty, I much prefer it to the new saddle bags. Why? Because it closes. (The catch on the shadows is a little different at first, because you have to align the button and the slot, then slide them together. But once your fingers learn it, you just do it automatically.) Every time I stop by tpf, I see the saddle bags and think, "They're so pretty," ..... but the fact that they have no catch to keep them closed stops me dead. I can literally 'see' a saddle bag on my passenger seat, toppling over and something flying out. .... Eh. That's just me.

Ahhhh, love it! Super organized too. I understand; I love my Dakotah, but I'm not in the market for another saddle bag because I'd prefer something a little dressier and more secure.
