I echo this! It’s def the watch or juc regular (small is too teeny for the comparison )Congratulations on your anniversary!
Depends on what is considered timeless. And how important is being timeless to you.
The Serpenti line is timeless to the Bvlgari brand. The Serpenti watch was introduced in 1948 and has been a part of the brand ever since. However, it does not hold its value as well as classic watch houses (ie. Rolex, AP, etc.).
The JUC line is also timeless to Cartier. The original JUC came out in 1971 (so it's actually younger than the Bvlgari watch). However, it is more popular and a staple jewelry piece of a jewelry house. Fine jewelry in general has a high mark-up for the retail price, so even a JUC will lose a little to some value when considering pre-loved however, depending on the condition it can hold its value better than a Bvlgari watch.
I consider them to both be timeless in their own right and both beautiful pieces.
The question is, do you prefer a piece of jewelry? Or a jewelry watch?
Have you tried them on? Which one do you gravitate towards more?
Would this be more of an everyday piece? Would you be happy to wear either piece on a regular basis?
For our wedding anniversary, my husband originally wanted to give me a 10-motif alhambra VCA necklace. However, I'm glad he discussed this with me, because while I would be happy to have a VCA necklace, it would not be a daily piece for me. And so I brought up the idea of watches. He ended up getting me a panthere TT which I love and have worn everyday since.
Personally I'd go for the Bvlgari watch but that's because I'm biased. For me: watches > fine jewelry > bags. The Serpenti line is also my favorite line from Bvlgari and I prefer the regular JUC size over the small.
This was a great response! I decided to go with the Serpenti, I feel like a watch can stand on its own without a stack, which is what I love about it!Congratulations on your anniversary!
