Serial numbers and rose gold tones?

Just a couple of questions! I recently purchased a couple of pendants from my local boutique (so they are 100% authentic), but I notice a difference in the appearance of the serial numbers. One has a certain design and the other is simply the serial number… is this normal? They are different metals and from different batches I suppose but wondering if anyone knows anything about this?

Also, I compared my VA rg pendant with my rg two butterfly pendant and the rose gold on the butterfly pendant looks just a tad pinker/darker… does anyone have any experience with this either? Is it a design choice since the butterfly has pink in it, or is it more likely a piece-to-piece thing?

This is normal, the hallmarks move around from time to time to thwart counterfitters, so that is why they are on different places on your pendants (on the other pendant, look for them on the circular parts). Even if you purchased them at the same time, they were not made at exactly the same time. Likely one was made a bit earlier and a bit of oxidation explains the color difference, it will happen subtly with all gold, more noticeable to me with VCAs RG because it starts out more pink. Run it with a gold tarnish cloth and it should look more pink again.

Thank you so much for your reply! What do you mean by the circular parts...? I checked the edges of the clover, but didn’t see anything. I don’t see those symbols anywhere on it. Should I be concerned?

You are welcome. I wrote it out, but then I thought it might not be a good idea to share this info as it might give information to nefarious people. I will DM you where to look.
