Hi everyone! I’m really disheartened to make this post right now and I’m unsure if anyone else has been in my shoes. :(

I had a Chanel 4 key ring holder that I had purchased a while ago. I have been moving a lot lately and I found out that I had lost my “CHANEL” gold ring (I attached an image of it below for reference). I called the online Chanel customer service and they told me I can order the ring at any boutique. I texted my SA and she told me that I would need to bring it in for repair.

I found that odd because I wanted to just reorder a ring piece that came with the key holder. She told me I can ship it to her and her repair specialist will take care of me. I shipped the package using the return label Chanel/Nordstrom gave me, and the package was out for delivery/pending now since 1/4/24 and hasn’t moved.

I opened a case with FedEx, but no one is responding to me whether or not the package was insured (my SA insists it was but I’m not sure how much). :( I feel so sad that I could potentially have lost my key holder.

TIA for any advice anyone might have.

I understand why they won't send parts. This time is year is insane and I'm finding shipping companies to be less and less... impressive. I'd leave the ball in her court or escalate up in Nordstrom since they're handling it.

Case in point lol
I ordered some boots from NM on 1/3 and they were, and are currently IN STOCK, they will not ship until FEB 25!? Literally no one cares, there’s no CS or recourse in shipping imo
They’ll get to it when they get to it 🤯

I had the same issue and my SA said it was so they can match the hardware (and to dissuade people from requesting parts that they actually aren’t missing). Took maybe 3 weeks or so for a full turnaround.
