Sense8 on Netflix

Is anyone watching Sense8?
"A group of people around the world are suddenly linked mentally, and must find a way to survive being hunted by those who see them as a threat to the world's order."

I was stuck in the hospital for a few days (I'm fine) so I binge-watched it.

The first couple of episodes were slow because of character building but I really, really liked it. I'm glad I didn't give up on it!

It kind of reminded me (a teeny bit) of Heroes from years ago but mostly because of the connection between the characters. I found the characters in Sense8 MUCH more likable and enjoyed all of their super diverse story lines very much. By the end, I was emotionally invested in all of them! LOL

The only warning I will give is there are some pretty intense sexual scenes and violence so just FYI if you avoid that stuff. I think a couple were overkill and not necessary but just wanted to warn you! ha.

Season Two launches next month and I can't wait!

I was interested until you gave me the sex and violence warning, which I am grateful for. If I see one more dog**style 'scene' on my living room tv I think I will puke. Where did everyone's imagination and discretion go? Have we turned into an entire planet of greasy voyeurs?
Its not racy, it's not cutting edge and I have my own s** life. Thank you.

I watched the first season and enjoyed it! Looking forward to season 2

Will have to try as I love sci fi and the premise but unfortunately these days my attention usually peters out pretty quick. For reason mentioned above. But also because with so much going on in the world these days, 'fiction' seems less relevant somehow. Reality tv and the news has ruined everything for me!

I tried watching it but the sex scenes are too gratuitous. I like a good porno and a good sex scene but FFS, some of the sex scenes have no alignment to the plot.....it's like wherever the writers get stuck, they say "oh let's throw in a sex scene here". I can't even follow the plot of some episodes as three quarters of the episode are sex scenes.

I struggled through the first season as the plot moved slowly (given the amount of time they wasted showing straight sex, group sex, gay sex, self-sex....smh). It picked up a bit more the second season but the motivation behind the antagonists is a bit lost to me.
