Sally Hansen Raisin the Bar on toes - 2 coats. Same 2 coats on nails but with a 3rd coat of IBD Rustic River to tone that pink down a bit!

Sally Hansen Commander in Chic X 2 coats. Loving this so far...like milk chocolate mixed with gray. Then I put a matte layer on top. Excuse the messiness...I find it easier to clean up the spills on the edges the next day

This is 1 coat of sensationail raspberry wine over 2 coats of sensationail midnight rendezvous. The result was a deep purple/blackened magenta shimmer. The ring finger is 3 coats of raspberry wine under 1 thin coat of orly shade shifter. I was afraid that the shade shifter would be completely black if I painted it too thick. Turns out it's quite sheer, and gave a slight smoky appearance. Next time, I'll try 1 thick coat.

Sensationail purple orchid, 3 coats. I probably could have gotten away with 2 coats, but I do 3 out of habit; plus my thin nails can use the extra support. It has a really lovely subtle blue shimmer that I can't seem to capture on camera.

Sensationail enchant, 3 coats with China Glaze chevron magnet and Sally Hansen wave magnet. It's a very sparkly gunmetal, dark silver color.

Looking through this thread, I see some people had great results with the Insta-Gel Strips, but I didn't like my experience so much...

I barely got a week's worth of wear out of them, and the strips themselves seemed just like regular polish strips, with only the included small size of top coat to make them into "Gel Strips". When I applied them and whenever I got a chip, I got a strong smell of this nasty nail polish odor that lingered for about two days--not like gel at all.

At least the design was chip-friendly and more complex than I could ever do myself. My first hand was kind of wobbly looking, but the second looks better...although neither application helped with my wear time. And unfortunately, when I tried to stretch out the strips like you normally would to apply the flat sheets to your nail, I noticed the pattern cracking along lines.

(I paired this with OPI Gelcolor "Suzi and the Seven Dusseldorfs", by the way)

Sensationail evening sand, 3 liberal coats. It's a muted pink-tan. Definitely added to my list of favorite nudes!

Update (belated) on the Sally Hansen Insta-gel strips: They started to lift and chip after only 3-4 days of wear. I stretched out the mani to 2 weeks by covering with rnp. Definitely not worth the $15-16 price tag for one mani. Glad I got them on clearance.
