Hi, is the Selma medium satchel comfortable to wear crossbody or does it stick to much out due of the size?

I am 5'9 and about 120 pounds.

I am not sure if to buy a medium satchel or the medium messenger. I have a messenger in luggage and like it a lot, but maybe some extra room would be great? On the other hand I have more bags in the size of the medium satchel than the messenger.....decisions...decisions:smile1:

For the medium messenger I would buy the black/silver studded, the satchel I am not sure about the color.

I'm 5'1 and I wouldn't wear my medium satchel crossbody! It is too short, sits on my hip and sticks out a bit. I do use it on my shoulder when in shops etc but usually carry it by the handles. Maybe if you were taller it would sit more on the waist and be fine but I feel awkward if I try it. The medium messenger is perfect crossbody for me, it sticks out slightly compared to a softer leather bag but I really like it.

Thank you very much sharing your opinion!

has someone a comparison pic with the medium selma satchel and the medium messenger for size reference? Or even a pic wearing the medium satchel crossbody? Thanks in advance!

I'm 5'8" and I can't wear the Med satchel crossbody, but def can wear the Med Messenger crossbody. I returned the satchel because it didn't work for me...but I have the Med Messenger and love it and wear it crossbody all the time. The satchel def holds more than the Messenger. Hope that helps!

+1. I'm 5'10 and can't wear the satchel cross body. The medium messenger is great cross body. I love the medium satchel though, Medium Blush Selma Satchel is the bag that works for me the most. It transitions through a working week into weekends and I have to remind myself to change into the messenger on the weekend!:giggles:

Thank you very much sharing your experiences! Unfortunately I still can't make the decision if I shall buy the messenger or the medium first. I could get the medium at the same price as the studded messenger, but I don't know how long the studded in silver is available, as silver is hard to find....decisions ;-)

Do I see it correct that blush is a warm colour? how do you combine the blush with outfits? only with light colours or also jeans and darker colours? Does blush easy gets colour transfer or dirt? I really love blush but I am not sure if a light bag matches me:smile1:

rosevelours, have you seen blush in person? If not, I suggest you try to. It's a light cream/champagne color with only the slightest hint of pink in it. If you are used to darker more saturated colors (like me) then it will probably be too light for your taste. There is also a risk of color transfer if you wear it with dark, non-colorfast clothing. It's a beautiful color, though, so make sure to take a look at it yourself in person if you can.

Thank your very much for your opinion! You spoke out my concerns about the light colour. I like the look very much but as you mentioned I think I am more for saturated colors. Even the point of color transfer I am scared about. I got a wallet in sun and there I often got some spots to clean. I also think I would like blush more with wearing light clothes as white/cream/nude and these aren't the colors of my wardrobe;-) I looked also at electric blue, chili and navy. It's a hard decision as in my mind also the studded messenger is :smile1:

I forgot to mention that I unfortunately can't have a look at blush IRL as I have to order online with "no return"

The studded messenger with silver studs will be harder to find in the future than the regular medium.

Blush looks good with almost anything because it's a neutral light cream/champagne color. It would probably get the most use in the spring/summer because it's such a light color. I'd probably go with a darker beige/brown in the fall/winter such as dark dune or luggage. Electric blue, chili, and navy are also some great colors. What color are looking at for the studded messenger? That seems to be the one you really want. :smile1:

When I first saw blush, I was surprised because it was a lighter cream color than I thought it would be. If you're looking for something more pink, then I'd take a look at some of the newer colors that are just coming out like dusty rose and tulip.

The studded messenger I am "obsessed" is black. It is just in black and pearl grey available and pearl grey is to light for me and I am more in warm colors. Black is a great "neutral" and with the silver studs it just looks great. ....maybe I really should go with the studded messenger and in future for a medium selma, so I also can take time to make sure about the color.

dusty rose I like very much, but unfortunately I haven't seen it in Switzerland

Thank you very much for your thoughts and opinions, I appreciate them very much!

I've been wearing Blush with everything this summer. Navy, white, summer brights.... looks great with everything. Like Ubo said good to see it IRL if you get a chance. I live in smart jeans and have had an episode of colour transfer. However, because I treated Blush it wiped right off.

I started off spring / summer thinking I wanted MK bags in both pale pink and nude colour block. Blush circumvented the need for 2 different bags for me. It'll be my go to summer colour for a few years to come.

I suggest you get the black medium messenger with silver studs to start, then. It's a gorgeous combination between the black saffiano leather and silver studs! You'll get a lot of use out of that one. And then you can take more time to decide on the color you want for your medium Selma.
