Hi guys, new to the MK side of the site. Just a quick one if any of you can help, I've noticed that the piping on one of my straps has started to come apart. Just wondering if any of you know of a fix, had the bag over a year also.

I have never seen this before, curious...is it from wear and tear?
I think the MK warranty is only 12 months (let me know if I'm wrong as I'm a newbie).
However I would still ring up or go to a MK boutique to talk to a SA, they may still honour the warranty. Otherwise they can give you a quote for the repair?

Dooney and bourke was some of the first bags I had ever seen with piping on the straps. I have had that happen a couple of times from carrying the same bag too often. The warranty is only a year from purchase. Make a few phone calls, you never know.

I would contact MK & see if their having problems with this. Ask about repair under warranty. It never hurts to ask. I would be interested in hearing what the final resolution is for future reference. Good luck.

Sorry it has took so long to post an update, spoke to my local MK boutique and advised to go back to Selfridges where I purchased the bag from. Turns out the staff there unofficially advised superglue and if it was a Mulberry bag they would have done something - grr!

Girls at MK gave my head office details who advised they'd offer a repair or replacement opted for a replacement and now have this beauty:

Sorry it has took so long to post an update, spoke to my local MK boutique and advised to go back to Selfridges where I purchased the bag from. Turns out the staff there unofficially advised superglue and if it was a Mulberry bag they would have done something - grr!

This is not unusual. I have pointed this out over and over. MK has a definite problem wit their straps! They need to seriously improve on their straps and hardware peeling.

Last, I have been eyeing this bag in black and I am curious if it stands all buy itself?

I saw it today, as well. It seems to stand on its own. The black one I saw had ghw.
