For whatever reason if you want to let go of your mid price range purses, do you sell them or give them away to family and friends?

If you sell them, where do you sell your stuff? How was your experience with the platforms you used?

I haven’t bought a purse in over a year. I am not that interested in shopping compared to a year ago. Maybe it has to do with the overall economic situation. What about you?

I want to declutter and sell some of the purses that I rarely use.

What was the mid price range to you? under $250? under $500? $1,000 - $2,000?, $2,000 - $3,500?

If by mid-range, you mean under $500, then I have sold them on eBay (Kate Spade/Michael Kors/Rebecca Minkoff), all hassle-free. I have to say though, timing was everything for me because these brands lose resell value FAST. I sold all my bags within a year of them just rolling out so the popularity was still there, and the styles I had were not being sold at sample sales or outlets so that also helped.

Give them away. I figure that I have gotten my cost per wear out of them already, and I would like them to go to friends or family who might appreciate them. If, after all these years, I’ve made an expensive mistake, I deserve to absorb that lesson too, and restrain myself from impulse purchases in the future. JMO

I've given away bags with original price points just under $1,500 to friends who would appreciate and use them. For my older sister, the sky's the limit. I've passed on some very special designer bags and accessories to her. My younger sister hasn't the slightest interest in designer "anything" except for jewelry, so that's what I pass on to her.Two of my three daughters-in-law also love handbags and jewelry, so they're next in line for goodies after my sisters.

Besides Longchamp (which I still love and use), the only contemporary or mid-range brand I have is COACH. There’s a few I still use for specific occasions, but the rest I gave to my Mom and Sister. I also gave about 5-6 to my teen daughter. She’s not into bags as much as me, but it gives her something to use when she does want one.
