hello, I would need some advice. I’m having love bracelet size 15 but lately I think cause I’m gaining weight, the bracelet seem tight. I bought the bracelet 2 years ago. I’m debating should I sell it and buy the bigger size. I have submitted to couple places and received low ball offer r been 3000-4000. Would I still sell it? And what is the good price for now with 2 years old bracelet?

Unfortunately it looks like you'll lose a significant amount by selling, so it's better to be 100% certain when you make this decision. Do you think your weight gain is permanent? Would you be able to comfortably wear a bigger size if you end up losing weight? Are you sure that your bracelet is the right size to begin with? I am asking because the wrist size at the bone doesn't really fluctuate with weight changes, obviously the part above the bone would become thicker with increased weight, but the wrist itself doesn't change that much, so if you had a slight weight gain and the bracelet became uncomfortable maybe it was too small to begin with...?

My wrist size is 13.5cm. When I bought it , it was a good size because I could turn it around with no problem. The only thing is when I’m holding something heavy then it make the bracelet tight. But at the beginning when I just bought it, I was little regret, I wished could have bought 16 instead but I couldn’t exchange due to I bought it in Hawaii. I really don’t know I could loose weight or not, at this age it’s difficult to lose even a pound. And yes, you’re right. I really have to think hard about this because I’ll loose substantial amount of money.

I just measured my wrist size, it’s 14cm now. I’m planning to go with size 16. If later on I loose weight. I think I’ll be okay with size 16cm.
The thing is with the bracelet being tight, im not enjoying wearing it anymore because it’s kept reminding me I should go for larger size.

It looks like you regretted not getting a bigger size from the beginning and you have not been enjoying your bracelet lately, so looks like it's worth losing $2-3k to enjoy the $7k  Otherwise you kind of lose the entire value of the bracelet because your not enjoying it. Maybe you can consider getting a bigger size pre-loved to offset some of the cost...

Thanks for the advice. I think its worth it with few ks for my smile . I haven’t think about pre love because I preferred I’m the first own for all my jewelry.
And another reason I want to get larger size because my juc is size 15, when wearing these 2 together it always overlaps so I have to wear my hair tight in between as a buffer which it doesn’t look so elegant.
But can’t justify to loose that much money when just bought it 2 years ago.

Sell. A bracelet that doesn’t fit is of no use/zero value to you (unless you have a friend or family member who can take it). So I think whether you’ve owned it two years or ten doesn’t really matter. You can google best places to resell or consign, but it seems like a buyers market to me, idk
good luck

I did ask her before but she said she never heard of this
Too bad she's so uninformed, you can call customer service and get the information directly from them. This is 100% a valid option, I talked to LV customer service and they explained me how it works (it was 60% when I talked to them, meaning you'll have to pay 60% of the new bracelet price). You'll probably be better off selling your bracelet elsewhere, but always better to double check... Also, I would switch SAs since she's not being helpful. Even if she didn't hear about it before she should have checked before responding this to you. Good luck selling!!!

Cartier is part of Richmont group, not LVMH. Although @Christofle posted an interesting article re an attempt to acquire. https://www.watchpro.com/markets-unmoved-by-rumours-of-lvmh-acquiring-richemont/

Once upon a time, it was possible, in some instances, and with some third party dealers, to trade in a cartier watch for another. This practice, as well as the practice of discounting new watches, led to cartier watches falling in value, unlike Rolex or PP. When I googled whether it was possible to resell or trade back a love bracelet, I saw articles dating from 2022 in the negative. Richmont group has recognized the value of the resale market, and it did purchase Watchfinders, a resale site for Richmont watches, ranging from ALange, IWC, to Cartier. But, to my knowledge, it does not have a category for jewelry. My ALange boutique manager (DH also prefers to purchase his watches new) has told DH that he can trade in his other watches (namely Breguet, IWC, and JLC) but the values are so low as to be not worth it. So, I wear his ‘cast offs.’ IMO, if you can give your love bracelet to a friend or family member or trade it within your own group of friends or acquaintances, that might be the best option.

ETA: the former tourneau (now owned by Bucherer) might have taken a trade in on jewelry, but I do not know if Bucherer has retained a trade in policy. You should also try your independent jeweler. This would be independent from your purchase of a larger NIB love bracelet from Cartier.

Are you thinking of trading it in for cartier for 30% ? Ask your SA
I just chatted with Cartier customer service today regarding the re-make option and they told me it's 60%. I told them that I heard of a 30% being offered, but she said that this was a September promo that ended, but also she suggested I go back to the SA that quoted 30% and she/ he might be able to honor it. I'm curious when did you hear about the 30%? I'd like to resize a ring and 30% sounds amazing vs. 60% lol
