Selling Gucci for Chanel?

Ladies, I need your opinion since I keep going back and forward...
I had the idea of selling 2 of my bags, and then purchase 1 Chanel for the money I got out of the sell.
I sold my LV PM within an hour. Now I can also sell my black small Gucci Marmont bag for a good price. I still use this bag often.

Would you sell the Gucci to purchase a Chanel? Is the Gucci Marmont a classic or a temporarly hype?

IMO hype. Gucci's going through a phase. If you're getting a good price, take it.

I agree. I think Gucci is going through a popular boom. So take the good price while you can since Chanel classics retain their value + more. [emoji4]

I don’t know yet. Just bought a Coco handle so nothing that caught my eye yet. But maybe a small classic flap [emoji4]

I sold 2 bags recently to purchase my first Chanel, a jumbo caviar flap bag and I’m not regretting it one bit as I’ve ALWAYS wanted a Chanel and their prices are increasing each year. You can always buy another Gucci bag later as they are a lot more affordable...plus Chanel is a classic that Gucci just can’t compare too. Good luck!

I just sold a Givenchy Antigona and flipped it for a Classic Jumbo....nothing wrong with cleaning out what you aren't using any longer, but if you ARE still using the Marmont, I'd hold onto it until you're not

Sounds like you made the right decision. I have a few Gucci items I am listing next week to sell. I'd rather put it towards Chanel or Dior.

I totally agree with your decision to sell. I love Gucci, primarily their shoes (!), but I don't think there is any comparison between the Marmont bag and a Chanel flap. I have always been unable to convince myself to buy a Marmont because the only flap bag I want to invest in is Chanel. But that's JMO. Be sure to return and show us what you get!
