Well heck.

This is a bummer, and kind of an odd one. Maybe it's a bonus, I don't know.

I bought a Toiletry Pouch 19 from an eBayer. I just received it. It was listed as a 19 with the correct dimensions. It is in adequate condition, but that's okay by me. I wanted the 19 to wear as crossbody as the 15 is too small and the 26 is way too big for me.

But, as you have guessed, it just arrived and it is a 26. I paid very little for it.

What the heck do I do with it? Given the price and the adequate condition, I'm kind of feeling inclined to keep it. But now I cannot afford a 19 as I missed out on the last of the well-priced 19s. I could sell it, then buy the 19 with the money.

Or, I could say, "Hey, I'll never buy this for the prices they will sell for, I might as well keep it in my collection"

What would you do?

Just hours before it arrived, I paid for a conversion kit for the 19. I was hoping to wear it to an event next week.

Awww! Bummer! I just bought a 19 and love it. I feel like it's the right size for me, even if I want to use it for a clutch. There are a few that pop up on fashionphile, so I think you would still be able to get one! I think if that happened to me, I'd probably keep it since it's hard to find. I'd find a use for it. But knowing how I am, I would keep looking for the 19!

I found a 19 for about $400, but you can see that the interior is bubbled. This 26 looks like it want to start to bubble. Hmm... I just slathered it with Bickmore 4. It seemed thirsty.

I know, people disagree on conditioning coated canvas, but this 40+ year old canvas looked like it wanted something.

I am telling myself, "Find a 19 and you'll have a full set!" And then, "Why do I need a stinkin full set?"

I had the 19 in the back of my mind for years but bought many other things instead, thinking I could always get it. As soon as they were discontinued I had to have it! I don't really "need" it either. I say keep looking and you will find what you want, in the condition you want. Or wait a little while and see what they come out with to replace them!

It sounds like a great deal, so I would be tempted to keep it. But if you know you will not use it, then return. So sorry this happened. . .

You don’t! It’s that FOMO syndrome that a lot seem to suffer from. If your heart is set on a 19 keep looking for one the 26 isn’t going hit that sweet spot.

Might not be able to do that after treating the canvas….

You are right, I don't. I mean, none of us need any of this, right?

I will probably send it back if able or sell it if authentic. I think it is, but I've put it in the Authenticate thread just to get perspective. I will say this, the canvas is excellent. It is growing on me, but again, I'm not sure what the heck to do with it.

The 15 is a perfect lippy and catch all. I love it. I also think I would get a lot of use out of the 19. But what does one do with a 26? I just cannot figure it out. It seems too narrow for travel.

And lastly, what did Diana have in her 26 that day on the boat? Cosmetics? Passport and personals? What?

Totally irrelevant to my situation, but still....Am I the only one what wonders what's in her bag?

I use them as clutches when going for drinks/dinner with friends, it carries more than the classic accessories pouch and I can put a full size wallet along with my phone, car/house keys etc. Only one of which was my first (DE) do I use for its intended purpose and I use it for hair products combs and brushes and other hair accessories when I travel

I use mine as a toiletry pouch, never as a clutch. I find it's good for an overnight stay, if you don't need too much. My 26 comfortably holds my toothbrush (electric, in its case), deodorant, moisturiser and a small bottle of fragrance. I would agree with you that it seems too narrow for using for travelling any longer than one night.

OMG!!!!!!!! keep it! --- firstly I am to honest I would tell the Seller they sent wrong size. And you're fine with keeping it. ;)
Oh course! I reached out to the seller right away. I said, "Hey, blah, blah, blah, and I'm not sure what I want to do about it." His response was. "Yeah, I messed up the description." Haha, no offer to refund or anything, but I guess we both know I got a bargain of a deal.
