I bought a Rockie in 2013 in iodine (a muted burgundy hue) but ended up selling it in 2018 because I wasn’t wearing it much. I paid almost $600 for it back then and barely got $200 for it, despite the fact that it was in excellent condition... OUCH.
Off and on I’ve pondered getting one in a different color. I finally decided on black, but told myself I’d only buy it if it had the gunmetal-toned hardware (because it seems to hold up better than the shiny hardware) and it had to be a great price. I was watching a gently used one on Poshmark when out of nowhere, the seller dropped the price from $450 to 250. I couldn’t resist. She only has a few bumps and bruises and the leather is delicious! 2020 is off to a great start!
