Hi all,
Looking for advice on a second piece. I would’ve chosen a rainbow love had it not been discontinued and I’m not ready to turn to the preloved market just yet. I prefer peace of mind by purchasing directly from Cartier.
In any case, I have narrowed it down to the YG Ecrou (7,250 USD) vs the Panthere de Cartier bracelet (8,050 USD). I like both pieces and I have seen both in person in the store but I can’t stop oscillating between the two. I’ve tried on the Ecrou in the store but didn’t get the chance to try on the panthere unfortunately, they didn’t have my size.
I have one classic YG love bracelet. I’m unsure if I will stack it or not… BUT my one criterion is this: I’m lazy and need something that is comfortable. I tend to wear my jewelry 24/7 and I don’t take it off. Would either of these pieces drive me crazy for those who own one or the other? Can I wear it 24/7? At this price point, cost per wear helps me justify the purchase and feel better about it.
I also like that I can dress the classic love up or wear it casually. That’s my ideal kind of piece. I also don’t see myself stacking more than two Cartier pieces. Two is my own personal limit.
I like them for different reasons. The panther seems more mature but I like that I can grow into it. It looks like a classy piece that can either be dressed up or down. I like that the Ecrou is edgy and not like anything I’ve seen before. I’ve seen knockoffs but they don’t do Justice to the real thing and I like that. Will I love it more over time or will I get sick of it? I usually have my jewelry for life and don’t intend to sell it on the secondhand market.
Both seem to be less popular compared to the Love and JUC and both seem to be pretty polarizing (people either love it or hate it). I’m not a fan of JUC, and being that my first piece was the classic love, I’m glad to be gravitating toward less popular pieces. It seems these days almost everyone on social media is rocking a love and a JUC together. There’s nothing wrong with that if it’s your thing, but I want something a little different for a second piece.
Thoughts?
