A long time ago I wore an Ebel watch every day. I loved it but it got so scratched up:sad:. I spoke to the jeweler about it many years ago when I brought it in for a battery change. He said there was nothing he could do for most of the scratches and said the watch had "character". I don't like character - I like no scratches. Now I have a number of beautiful bracelets (Cartier love cuff) and watches (j12) to name a couple. I'm afraid to wear because of scratches. Some people actually prefer the jewelry to get broken in like sneakers! What do you think?

A watch repair specialist should be able to buff out the scratches in the bracelet and case. Speak with a master watchman or someone who is specifically employed to repair watches.

Look for a jeweler to buff it. I have one that does all my watches about every 5 yrs and they look brand new. They also did my Rolex with a big gash in it and now I can't even tell.

Cartier will do your bracelet and J12's don't scratch.

I have scratches on my TAG but I don't mind. I can only see them in certain light and if I am looking for them.

I have a heavy solid gold bangle that I wear every day. It was SO smooth when I first had it made. It has many scratches now (I wear it gardening, feeding animals on farm etc) but I think it looks better today than the day I picked it up from the jewellers. My jeweller offered to buff it up for me recently but I declined.

J-12 doesn't scratch

i wear mine every single day and I dont have one single scratch on it

I love the sturdy ceramic band that the J12 has - That is a big reason why I went for a J12 over a Cartier tank watch!

Cartier will do your bracelet

That was my first thought too - I am sure you can bring in your cuff to Cartier for cleanings as many times as you want!
