I'm contemplating to buy the new Ramadan exclusive Scott Box but at AED 4800, its definitely a steep price to pay for an acrylic box.

I was just wondering how the acylric holds up long term. I intend to use it as a decor item in my home (not like a pseudo bag like I know some people like to style it). I know some acrylic boxes yellow over time (especially when in a room with a lot of natural light). Does anyone have any experience with the Scott Box (especially those of you who have had it for a few years now)? Does LV do repairs on the box?

I'd really appreciate your help before taking the plunge.

WOW, it is pricey indeed. My guess would be that they cannot really do anything with the plastic itself, so if they still have the component, they can replace it, but that is practically the entire product. The leather and the lock is surely servicable.
I am also curious to hear what experience the owners have.

This “bag” is very popular on instagram. It’s interesting that it doesn’t have much “hype” on here. I do have it on my wish list - looks perfect for dinners.
For dinners ? Others might think you bring a food container ready for ‘take away ‘ :P
I’m just joking but that’s the first thing that came into my mind :lol::lol:

I've seen (online) that some people tie scarves around the top and use it as a mini handbag.

Not sure how well it holds up (acrylic material) and if it yellows or not over time. You could always ask a CA if LV will service it (if you purchase it)?

If you search around a popular e bay auction site, you can see domino holders or incense box holders that seem to be of a similar acrylic material. Or search Vuitton vip and some of the "gifts" for high amount purchasers seem similar. Perhaps that may help you see how the plastic holds up?

It would make for a gorgeous decor item.
