Hi everyone, I’ve been going back and forth on this ring (Schlumberger Pave x) for awhile. I feel like the price is steep for what I get but it’s also beautiful piece of jewelry. Would you get this? It goes for $5850 retail, and there are few if any out on the secondary markets. Appreciate your opinions.

There is usually a steep premium for the name brand on the major jewelry brands. I am usually willing to pay the premium, but I also know that many people are not. It is entirely a decision of personal preference.
I use a mental game to determine if an item is worth the asking price to me. Here's how it works. Pretend that you are standing at a table that has the ring and the purchase price in cash on it. Next, pretend you are allowed to only take either the ring or the money. Which would you take?
If you would chose the ring, it is worth the purchase price to you. If you would choose the money, then it is not worth the purchase price to you.

Yes yes yes! I am a huge Schlumberger fan and admire this ring a lot as well. It is a steep price point so it really comes down to how much you think you will wear it and what other jewelry you have in your collection? I'm not sure if this would be an every day ring as I'm not sure how durable the enamel would be?
Considering the price of bags these days, I'd rather have beautiful jewellery for the same money but it's got to be worth it to you. Has to be L

Schlumberger jewelry from Tiffany is beautiful. You also have the wonderful service of Tiffany backing this piece for any needed repairs. The one thing I urge you to consider is whether this ring can be resized or not. Some of the classic Schlumberger designs like the Xs ring and the rope ring can't be resized because of the complexity of their design and the fact that the design goes all the way around the ring. You can always switch it to another finger, even if it can't be resized.

Only you can decide if the price is worth it, but I wanted a Schlumberger 16-stone ring for 20 years before I finally got one. No regrets!
