I’m torn between 2 vastly different pieces as my next Tiffany purchase. This would also be my most expensive Tiffany purchase to date. I do have a fair number of gold earrings already (gold Peretti bean, Cartier JUC, Cartier Love stud, Paloma arrow single earring, VCA sweet carnelian
Alhambra) and only 1 all-purpose silver necklace (18-mm silver bean) plus a silver Peretti large bottle that doesn’t work with all outfits. However, the cost of the Hardwear is very high for a silver piece (albeit a solid, substantial one), and the Lynn earrings seem more timeless. Thoughts? Thank you for your input!

The necklace is lovely, bold and vibrant with presence and an industrial lookl, whereas the earrings are more feminine and discreet.

It depends on how versatile each piece is for you? Is cost per wear important, or loving the jewellery more important if you don't wear it often?

I don't know Tiffany so I don't know the prices but I love the necklace.

You bring up excellent questions! In the summer and spring, I'm much more bold and vibrant and gravitate toward silver; the rest of the year, I'm more discreet. However, in terms of versatility, I think the necklace would be more versatile; it would be killer with a black close-fitting sweater. Thank you for the food for thought!

I've had this Tiffany HardWear Graduated Link Sterling Silver Necklace since 2017, when this collection debuted. The price has sky-rocketed since then, basically doubling. It's a bold, modern piece that really makes an outfit. I wear it often and still love it.
Thank you for your insight as someone who owns this piece! I think the money really is giving me pause. It's so expensive for a silver necklace!

My first instinct was the Lynn as
I prefer fine jewelry over silver but after reading about your pieces, I vote for the hardware. The hardware necklace is absolutely stunning and it would be a great addition to your collection.

I think we have similar taste because I really like both too, even though they're so different. I think the Hardwear necklace is absolutely gorgeous and really strong. Sounds like you like design-forward pieces.

Design-led pieces don't have to be big, but although pretty, I didn't think the earrings are as strong.

Thank you! You're absolutely right that the earrings aren't a show stopper. This will be my first bold piece that isn't by Elsa Peretti!

Voted for the hardware as well. I have the Lynn earrings in WG which I ended up wearing them less often than my other earrings pieces in my collection (e.g. VCA alhambra motifs, Tiffany Victoria series, LV motifs, Boucheron's serpent bohème). It is a lovely piece, subtle, discreet and has roots in the Schlumberger heritage. However, as some others have mentioned, it is bit too small which I didn't find it very much to my liking at the end. Strongly recommend you to try both pieces on and see if they fit your personal style.

This is so tricky ! Really it comes down to what you want for your next piece. Do you want a piece you will wear more often? Or more of a special occassion piece?
Personally, the hardwear is gorgeous, but to me is more of a classy everyday statement piece. The earrings could be every day and could also be for special occasions. The earrings are more understate elegant.
Up to you! Do you have a lot more every day pieces?
you cannot go wrong with either :)
