Schiaparelli is a French, surrealist fashion house that was recently revived. Elsa Schiaparelli, the brand founder, was one of the most fashionable, iconic women of her time and was often compared to Gabrielle Chanel in terms of her impact to fashion and timeless appeal.

The brand was mismanaged after Elsa's retirement and was revived as a proper Haute Couture and Pret-à-Porter (Schiaparelli calls their ready-to-wear line "pret-à-couture") House.

They've recently burst in popularity after their Haute Couture has had several A-List moment (Lady Gaga, Beyonce, etc.). Currently, Schiaparelli is only available to purchase:

• 21 Place Vêndome Boutique in Paris
  • Note: if you want to enter the boutique, you enter downstairs from the Place Vêndome square and then the front desk will ring up to the boutique. They'll then take you up in the lift. An appointment is not necessary, but it may be helpful to schedule it in advance. The boutique sitting room was quite full when I visited, which led to a short wait before a salesperson was able to assist me.
• Schiaparelli e-store
• Bergdorf Goodmans shop-in-shop (in person only, not sold online)
• Dover Street Market: NYC, LA, and London shop-in-shops (not online)

Their bags are beautifully made and have wonderful, jewelry-quality embellishments and hardware. Their prices, however, are in the Delvaux/Chanel Seasonal/Hermès range with most bags and clutches priced between $3,500 - $8,000 USD.

I recently got the Sun Bag, and it's so perfect. Striking shape, beautiful details, and impeccable construction.

I like the full Anatomy bag (black) and the Nose bag (black or burgundy).

I may take a look in DSM London, my problem is I don't need another bag and I'm broke .

Thank you! I can definitely see Schiaparelli filling a gap in consumers closet who want something exciting and refreshing that also isn't going to be over-exposed.

The Anatomy Bag sold out at Bergdorf Goodman after the first week of the permanent shop-in-shop opened!

I was going to enquire about the availability of a bag and some jewellery for Christmas, but to send a question to Schiaparelli they require my entire address, phone number etc and I don't feel the need to give those details out when I'm only asking for an email.

I saw these bags on display at DSM NY and they are so unique and beautiful and without mention of who made them -- they were just so beautiful by themselves. I loved the Anatomy bag and the Nose bag, as well.

I noticed the sun bag is available online right now on the Real Real.

Definitely a special bag... I'll have to think about it! How has your sun bag been holding up @MonsieurMode?

I’ve been trying on-and-off again for some time now. They don’t respond to email and calling them leads to a voicemail they don’t answer. Their other number rings up no service.

Hello, I know this is an old thread but wondering if anyone could speak to their aftercare services? I bought a mini Anatomy bag at BG (NYC) to come home and discover the zipper lining was falling apart. I sent to my SA who was so surprised and they ordered me a new bag from Paris. That said, now I'm a little worried and concerned about quality in general and longevity especially for this price point. I could get another H bag and feel more confident. But I fell in love with the bag and still want to consider it. I love pieces with lips and don't know of another stand out bag like this! Thank you!
