I’m considering buying a Burberry cashmere scarf to use in Autumn/Winter. Now, I know I’ll get a lot of use out of it - thank you UK weather - but I’m interested in the olive green version. It’s my favourite colour & goes best with my other clothes. Is it a bit pointless buying a Burberry scarf which isn’t in the iconic camel colour? Camel washes me out so it’s not an option.

There doesn’t appear to be a clubhouse thread dedicated to scarves so would also love to hear any pro’s & con’s.

Thank you!

I don’t think it is pointless to get a non-classic colour as they still provide the same warmth and comfort as classic.
I myself have a few and only one of them is classic (stone check).
Previously non-classic colours would go on sale but I haven’t seen that in a while from the burberry site.
Good luck deciding.

I’ve gone a completely different direction & my new scarf will be arriving on Tuesday!

Enjoy your new scarf! Only one more day to wait... :amuse:

I would rather say that buying a scarf in a colour that isn’t your favourite is completely pointless. I chose an ivory with yellow check for mine and I enjoy it much more than the tan.

This one is beautiful. I wish I wasn’t allergic to cashmere.

It’s not pointless to buy a non-classic color! As long as it fits your style it would look better and be more useful to you if you get a color you like. I myself got a cream colored one because it goes better with my wardrobe. However, I would advise you to take a trip to the outlets, because olive is a less popular color, so you might be able to snatch one on sale! Also make sure to check all the online retailers for codes as well! If you can wait till October/November lots of retailers will go on major sale then, scarves that aren’t regular neutral colors (camel, cream, white) should go on sale somewhere.

I know this post is a little old, but what color did you get Op?

I have had a sage novacheck scarf since 2010. It was a bridesmaid present. I was the only one to get a color because I already had a traditional beige. I use both scarves every year. However, I do not use the sage with my trench as I choose to stay traditional. I wear my barn jacket with either color as well as my heavier black winter coats that are not Burberry.
