I love Soirée!! I can’t get enough of those cherubs in the corner. Such a unique you have with the hem and cashmere. Wonderful! I had the aqua/tealish one with white hem and returned it because I was trying to be good and said to myself I have plenty in these tones already. needless to say, regrets galore over here.

I took piano lessons for many years as a child. I memorized and played “Clair de Lune” by Claude Debussy for a piano solo contest my freshman year of high school. I continued to play this lovely piece thoughout my adult life, at least until the pain from arthritis in my fingers took all the fun out of playing the piano. 
For those of you who would like to hear this beautiful piano solo, here is Debussy himself playing Clair de Lune. (It is less than 4 minutes long and worth a listen.)

I don't know the back story for this design, but when I first came across it, I thought perhaps the inspiration came from opera houses, in particular the Teatro alla Scala Milano.
