Your moussies are so lovely, @lanit! And your mod shots of your MP CSGM is inspiring me to look at this cw again. Hope the new year brings you and our dear scarfies good health, less worries, and fruitful endeavours! :flowers::heart:

It's worth the repeat performance, @paula24jen! So elegant and chic!

This is a fabulous look, @momasaurus! And your jacket is just gorgeous both in colour and texture.
Thank you so much, litchi. Silk.....

Ok- I left off on Sunday with March. After reviewing all my ins and outs I guess I'll pick back up right there!

After not only picking up the boutique treasures I did (and I forgot to add the Jardin Anglais I found as well at H-matic that I'd missed out online when it was available) I ended up locating the fabulously crinkly Rouge H Toile H mousseline stole from 2007. A great blast from the past from moussieland,

I (I mean, my wallet) had a tiny break and I was just starting to relax when THIS happened in May. One of my favorite moussie purchases EVER, which I found after not one or two but three missed tries, my obsession finally reached fever pitch and I overpaid but got what I wanted to finally lay it to rest. Axis Mundi. Surprisingly versatile for me in this odd peach/mustard/green colorway.

I also added on a Coupons Indiennes because I love the print and finally found one that wasn't pastel after a long long search.

Beautiful scarves, and I always like your background colors. White is awesome.

I would call 2018 the year of moussie stoles for me. My love of moussies in this format, plus the news that H is phasing out printed moussies added to the buying frenzy.
The year started with buying a savanna dance in blue/pink and then shortly after in navy. Eventually in May I added the purple one. ( well it was my birthday/ travel souvenir). In the spring I found my first changeant on eBay. Chasse en Inde in the blue/ green format. At the end of the year I found the turquoise/ fuschia one for an amazing price.
In September, I found the aqua Paradis de soie at BG from several seasons ago. Couldn’t believe my luck! I had unsuccessfully looked for that during the season it was released,
And then finally, a mini grail for me- la danse in moussie 90. Haven’t worn La danse or the second Chasse stole yet, as they were Xmas gifts.View attachment 4293166 View attachment 4293167 View attachment 4293168 View attachment 4293169 View attachment 4293170 View attachment 4293171 View attachment 4293172 View attachment 4293173

Such stunning additions, each one very you.

I am a great believer in when something really suits, then buying multiples is actually clever, no justification
necessary, and your savanna dances represent true investment in personal style. Since there are fewer choices of mousselines for SS19 your chiffon haul this year makes perfect sense.

Beautiful CSGM. (PS: do not hesitate over raisin. Is is gorgeous. Is it BOX??? so rare)

Thank you!
No it’s clemence - a Victoria fourre-tout from 2009 ... arrhgh but the Paris H sale is in 10 days ! It looks like this - really good price to (in Hermès economics of course) but i haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Argl ! What should i dooooo?!

And thank you all for the likes and beautiful pictures !

My next favorite for this year is a VERY sentimental choice. Back in I think 2006/7, my oldest granddaughter Justine, had a wonderful woldog. Maska was about 85% wolf and just really affectionate with the whole extended family. He ran away in late November 2010. They lived on a farm...didn't have a fenced yard. In mid December 2010 my DIL found his body under a backyard shed. He had been hit by a car.

In September 2011, my granddaughter Justine was involved in a fatal auto accident.

So.......in remembrance of Justine and her Maska, I purchased Awoo.

A heart-breaking story dear bobkat. I'm so sorry for such a terrible loss, your darling Granddaughter. A truly significant scarf for 2 special beings, I 'm so very glad you found something that could commemorate both their lives united in your love.

These all suit you so Well! I hear what you are saying about overpaying. I did pay more than intended for my la danse, but had been searching for a couple of years...

SD is magnificent in every format, but I think that especially so as a moussie because all of the amazing design elements blend and metamorphose in such a delectable way! Love your 3 CWs! And the La Danse is exquisite!

View attachment 4293210 View attachment 4293211 2018 was a quiet year for scarves, I’m trying to be far more considered in my purchases and plugging gaps in terms of colour or style, but I always enjoy your pictures and stories. SOTD is my new to me Perspectives, which I passed on in boutiques and then spent ages chasing. I was too busy (ok, lazy) to put it away so wore it two days running, which makes it Scarf Of Two Days, not just Scarf Of The Day
I’ve commented on this post but forgot to say that I love that first knot and took a screenshot so that I could study it tompossibly replicate it. How did you fold that?

Yay! JQ twin! :ghi5: Such great colors for you fifi!
I know... You wear it so well!

Wishing my fellow scarfies a happy and healthy 2019! I’ve retreated to lurking again and enjoying everyone’s posts and photos, as I’ve been under the weather (no SOTD with jammies!).

2018 was the year of the slippery orange slope for me - my wallet thanks me that it’s scarves and not handbags! My “collection” went from 3 to 9 in the last three months of the year (10 counting the one on its way . And I learned H scarves feature more than horses and saddles (yes, I really thought that at one time!) and found:
Sieste au Paradis
Acte III
Parures de Samouraïs
Fouets et Badines
Robe du Soir
A L’Ombre des Pivoines (under the Christmas tree)
and Minuit au Faubourg (soon to arrive)

At this point in my life, I will never have an extensive scarf collection, but look forward to adding pieces that “speak” to me. Learning the stories behind the scarves, here on TPF, adds to their beauty. So, thank you for graciously sharing your knowledge with us newbies, and for all the wonderful pics!

Feel better soon! Your choices are all great ones. Hope to have you sharing with us here through the coming months! When you feel up to it, I would love to see your Pivoines modeled. Which CW?

Thank you fifi! I thought all 3 CWs were quite different of the Savana dance. I particularly like the checked border on the blue/ pink/ green one.

Hello fellow scarfies!

Just in the nick of time, we wrapped up the themes for 2019 and I have started the 2019 thread so everyone can view topics. Papertiger has the thread locked for the moment so please enjoy the last few days of this 2018 thread and we'll shut this one and re-open the new thread on the weekend.

For you viewing and planning pleasure:

I'm so sorry for your loss Bobkat...Awoo is a perfect memento and remembrance.

Thank you papertiger! Love the year end shot!
Thank you, bunnycat, for your kind words.

My dear @bobkat1991, my heart goes out to you. So heartbreaking! Yet, you manage to find peace and beauty through it all... Such a meaningful tribute with your beautiful Awoo!
livingla.bida.fifi.....thank you for understanding!

Dear @bobkat1991, my heart broke to read of your Justine and her Maska. Awoooo is a beautiful way to keep them close to you. Thank you for sharing this precious sentiment with us.
litchi, I feel that I can share just about everything with you and the rest.

Big hug to you, dear friend, and best wishes for 2019!
It's a random sized ring from a etsy seller long ago. Black on one side and mother of pearl on the reverse, so it's quite handy. It's 2 and a quarter inches long, if that helps.
momasaurs, your description of size is VERY helpful! Thanks

Another big, big hug to you, bobkat.
And hugs coming back in YOUR direction, too!

I hesitate to “like” your post as it’s such a heartbreaking story, but you have found a way to remember them both and look glorious in it. Your approach to life is an inspiration...
Oh my goodness, paula24jen....I will treasure your kind words!
Oh dear Bobkat, that is truly heartbreaking! I'm glad that you found such a beautiful way of remembering the two :hugs::heart:

dublineuse, Awoo does comfort me. Thank you. And your first CSGM is magnificent! Your lipstick sets it off SO well.

Bobkat, this is so moving.
It is a touching way of paying a tribute to your granddaughter.
Monteverdi, my granddaughter really loved wolves; and my attitude about wolves was changed by the privilege of knowing Maska. Thank you for your kind words.

Such a heartbreaking story behind the shawl you got in remembrance and honor of your granddaughter and her dog. Your shawl is warm and beautiful, as you are.
Holsby, you are a DEAR!

I too hesitated to "like" you post...however, the sentiment is truly meant in a spirit of love and hugs to you and your family for your loss.
Thank you, Bova!

A heart-breaking story dear bobkat. I'm so sorry for such a terrible loss, your darling Granddaughter. A truly significant scarf for 2 special beings, I 'm so very glad you found something that could commemorate both their lives united in your love.
