I purchased a pre-loved Cartier Medium Tank Francaise from e-youknowwho-bay that I wore, stacked, and loved for almost two years. When it started acting funky I sent it to Cartier's service center for a rehab. Well, it cost me plenty (just under $1K) but the work they did was phenomenal! It now looks like a brand-new, perfectly clean & polished watch as if I had just brought it home from a Cartier boutique.

So, what's the problem? I'm scared to wear it! And very hesitant to stack it with other bracelets and know that it will get scratched up again. How do you wear your Cartier beautiful watches knowing that?

I think you just have to know that if you don't wear it you won't enjoy it. why not wear it, enjoy it, stack your bracelets with it, and know that sometime in the future, hopefully many years from now, you might need to do the service again. it's less expensive than buying a new Cartier watch and there is no point in having it if you're not going to enjoy it.

Baby steps sweetie! Wear it to dinner first...then maybe wear it to lunch...then the more you get used to it the more you'll get your confidence back on the watch.

I had a similar situation with my grandmother's watch. I have only worn it to dinner though :thinkin:

It's not like we're not scratched and scarred ourselves!

I say: put it on, wear it and let the scratches fall where they may. The more worn it becomes, the more loved and the more interesting patina it will collect. It becomes more _you_ that way.

This is the reason why I don´t like to stack my watch with (metal) bracelets at all - I don´t like my jewellery to get scratches...

I would wear your TF alone for some time. And when you feel like it, you can wear your bracelets with it again!

You are all so smart & wonderful! I did put my TF on the other day, and am pairing it with a very dainty sterling ID-style bracelet (an etsy find.) It is so light, I'm not so fearful of it scratching my Cartier watch. My right wrist will have to do all the heavy lifting in the bracelet-stacking event *hee-hee*
