Hey all,
I just wanted to report that there are scammers browsing TPF who are stealing our photos. I know this isn't the first time this has happened, but they are now stealing photos to scam others on Facebook. This was brought up over in the MK Forum.
http://forum.purseblog.com/michael-kors/warning-need-to-watermark-our-pics-924869.html

If any of you use your phone to take photos and upload them via the TPF App, you can download a free app called "Phonto" that has watermarking capabilities.

Have a great Sunday, everyone!

It's just crazy! On Pinterest, one of my boards is 'Handbag Love' where I pin posts of bags I may already have or want or will only look at and dream about!! I got an email yesterday from management of Pinterest saying I had done nothing wrong, but they wanted to let me know one of the pictures of a handbag I had pinned had been deleted. They went on to say that the original pinner of the handbag had taken it from someone without permission and that person notified Pinterest. It was a Coach Rory I had pinned quite a while ago! Just crazy, the original "pinner" could have taken a picture from the Coach website or online...but to "steal" it from someone else?! And for what gain??! Nuts! 😲😲

People find pictures in a Google search. They don't realize they are stealing, especially since they aren't trying to profit from it. I've copied pictures from other tpfers or ebay listings for my own personal files.

True. I just had never received anything like that before and when I read it the first time, I was kind of like....huh?!!

Thanks for the update, this is why I barely post anymore because if I don't have time to watermark it deters me from posting. I was a victim, along with quite a few tpf members a few years back when the person on IG was using the pics to sell fake bags.

I got the app you suggested last night and just used it this AM to post some Peanuts items.. unfortunately, it is so not a new problem but one you tend to forget generally speaking and yet i have years ago had problems with some ebayers doing it...

Thanks again for the app suggestion, simple to use in combination with the TPF app.

I'm glad the app is working for you guys. It's a shame we have to do this, but I really hate the thought of people being scammed out of their hard-earned money. I know it's nothing new for photos to be stolen from here, but maybe with a little effort we can stop at least a few scammers!
