SAs and commission

Hi,

In Paris, all the SA's are commissioned on the monthly turnover of the store.
The SA's of the leather department are not "specially" got a higher commission than the other SA. The SA's are not commissioned on Kelly / and Birkin too.
And it's strictly probihited to accept presents from customers..... except flowers

Thanks Specialistparis!!! I guess that explains why my SA at the Mothership store wasn't that eager to sell when I asked for a possiblility of ordering a Kelly there. I know it was a long shot but I tried. Oh well.

SP, there is a thread somewhere in here that said it was okay for SA's to accept things like food or gift certificates for restaurants. Maybe that's just in the U.S? Not sure..... What if a box of chocolate was sent to the store for all to share? My store is pretty small. Would they be able to accept it?

I gave my SA a travel guide to a city she mentioned she was interested in visiting and that seemed to be OK - I think they cant accept money or anything really expensive, but deminimus/business-type gifts like books flowers candy, are permitted.

Maybe perhaps because in the US, customers/clients are expected to give small gifts (like flowers or wine) to sales people that they regularly work with, its part of our culture but maybe not customary elsewhere.

I would rather not say Kou, given this is a public forum .... they are usually small gifts, never a Birkin or Kelly LOL, but always much appreciated

Understood! My friend (the one who dropped 100K a year) has gotten a gift once. However, it was a mini box of mini sample Caleche perfume, mini sample of matching lotion and bath gel. Do those count?
