Hi everyone!

I am new to this forum as a member, but Ive been reading your posts for weeks already :D

I just recently got my diploma :yahoo:and my lovely lovely awesome fantastic mom decided she will buy me my first LV as a gift! :cloud9:

My question is:
Do I get the same price in every LV store for the same products everywhere in the world or is the price different? (Sorry if I sound stupid, I am new to LV, I have massive amounts of authentic Guess bags and I know their prices are different, but of course you cannot compare it to an LV)

Where I live, we don't have a website/online store for LV so I can't check the price beforehand, and I don't want to ruin the first shopping experience by going and check the price first and then go back to actually buy the purse, you know what I mean :girlsigh:

Oh and Im getting the Damier Ebene Speedy 30, I think it will be perfect as my first LV

Thank you!

Congrats!!

The prices are the same in every store, but not in every country
If you can't look online before hand a sales associate will be more than willing to tell you the price
The speedy 30 is $690 in the US

What an awesome mommy! :)

I'd also add that there is one difference within the US - and that's mainland vs. Hawaii. LV purses are a bit cheaper in Hawaii. For example, I picked up the Totally PM Damier Azur for $820 in Maui, but it is $840 on the mainland.

You can go to the Louis Vuitton website under the USA section and often you can speak to an advisor online and ask them, for example, "How much is _____ in Canadian Dollars?" and they will give you a price. Or you could call the 1-800 number listed on the website

The prices are all the "same", that is they are adjusted from Euros to the local currency, but then there's the taxes that vary everywhere.

They are definetely not the same. If you adjust the price corresponding to the currency in the US the bags are much expensive. Even without calculating in the tax in the US. Cheapest is in France. I am from Germany and there is even a different price between Germany and France.

Well, you need to add any duty and import taxes the local governments charge too.

Wine is cheaper in France than in the province I live in, but that's because the government adds a bunch of duty and taxes for importing, which gets passed on to the consumer.

Even when the bags are produced in the US? I bought a NF in the US, made in US which was 700$ (572 Euro) compared to Germanys price which is 455 Euro. Tax was added to the 700$ and was around 60$.

This is quite good news, I was counting with US prices.
I mean, we are going to get it no matter what, but since it will be a gift from my mommy, I don't want her to spend way more than she was planning to
