Sales started in Canada this week, very limited stock. However my family was lucky to find some goodies including a tweed jacket. I know this has started a few years ago where sales item doesn’t come with any packaging other than tissue paper and paper bag. However this is a bit bothering. After discount, their RTW still have a high price tag.
Totally get sales item is sell in a discount. However in the view of economic, the reason for sales is due to low demand and sales price is the fair market value. So it shouldn’t be anything less value of full price. At even 40% off, these inventory could be above breakeven or in profit. It is not really us who is blessed to find sale items but the store to sell it with no write off. In addition, the package such as hanger or garment bag should be low in cost.
I guessed some may say, if you want full service and package then buy it in full price. But I think the price is increasing for all brands, the service is getting lower. What do you think?

I asked and my SA said it is due to sales item and they are not allowed. But for jacket over $5K, I don’t think this is reasonable.
Even with the sale price, you should get the full packaging. Imo, this is not a luxury experience when they are withholding the packaging. It does not cost Chanel a lot to provide the customer a hanger and garment bag. In one of my full price purchases, I asked for the item to be wrapped in tissue paper and the SA didn't want to provide it. Needless to say, I was not happy about it and felt why are we having a conversation on tissue paper? After some time, she provided it to me. Can you believe tissue paper of all things?

Seriously I can’t believe even for full price items?! Seems like we have to “beg” for good service now a day. I guessed it is so easy to do business why bother to go above and beyond.

Not in Canada but in the US, I got a ready-to-wear item recently and I asked specifically for a hanger (since my previous ready-to-wear didn’t come with hanger but only the garment bag), and this time, the item came without a garment bag and just wrapped in tissues. Also, the hanger was sent to me in another package, wrapped with more tissues. I don’t think this is being eco-friendly, since they are using more packaging items. I was surprised I had to request for the hanger and now I might have to start requesting for both garment bag and hangers. So disappointing

My last RTW full price purchase was folded and put in a package that is made for the garment to hang. I assumed it was hanging, I got home and it was a wrinkled mess because it was sitting at the bottom not on a hanger. No hanger, garment bag, or zippered bag. At least it was wrapped in tissue paper. I did let my SA know I was not pleased.
That's rediculous
