returns are recorded in almost every retailer. ever notice why you have to fill things out, or they ask for all sorts of information when you make returns at... oh iono.. nordies.. macys.. ae, a&f, a|x, burberry, gucci... etc etc? it's so they can track that.. tracking those versus tracking sales is just a tad more important, depending on the dollar returned. habitual returners get sent a letter eventually and aren't allowed any more returns for the year/etc. lol. it's funny really.

a saks LV is obligated to use the Saks cashier/register and reciepts. they dont get to use their own machines/reciepts. same applies to any macy's (NYC) or bloomingdales/neiman marcuses.
