If you bought a chanel bag during EGC day and pay with gift cards accumulated from previous EGC, are you still entitled to a new GC?

from my understanding, you are able to get a new gc, but only for the remaining amount.
for example, if your total was $2100 and you applied a $150 EGC towards it, you would only be entitled to an EGC for the amount of $1950. Hence, you would receive a GC for $150 rather than $300.

My SA said using previous EGC's disqualifies you from receiving any new ones...
