Has anyone noticed the sudden disconnect between the Saks store and their website? I know they are splitting them into separate companies but I was under the impression that hadn’t happened yet. Plus they promised a seamless shopping experience between the two. A while ago I saw some men’s pants in the store I liked for my husband and noticed while browsing the site recently that they were on sale. The site showed they were sold out in my store so I ordered two pairs online. Saks shipped one pair and cancelled the other pair because they were “out of stock”. I called customer service because their website showed in stock. I was told the website is incorrect and they are completely sold out. The next day a different rep told me they ARE in stock and I could reorder them. I reordered the second pair but both turned out to be too large so I took them back to the store to return them and there was a full supply of every size hanging in the men’s department. I also noticed some shoes that I ordered online because the website said they were unavailable in the store sitting out on display in my size. I thought about using the online only promo code they sent today to buy a Staud dress that I liked when I was in there, but they don’t have it on the website. What in the heck is going on and how is this going to help their business?

One thing I know after talking to a Saks Off 5th store manager recently is that they are so short staffed she doesn’t know how the stores are going to be stocked (Saks and Off both). They’ve had an average of two employees every day for weeks, with stock in the back that needs to be put up, and nobody to do the work. She told me the main shipping center is going to ship out a truckload of new stuff because they don’t have anybody to process it at the shipping center and will expect the stores to do it.

Basically “what in the heck is going on” is that there are no employees to work. And that’s happening everywhere.

The associate helping me said it’s always best to come into the store because they have a different inventory system and have access to everything in any store as well as the website but that’s not always possible or practical.

Oh wow, good to know! I did a little Glassdooring and looks like merchandising associate wages aren't matching cost of living in most big cities; thus, a possible reason for short-staffing continuing for a while.

I was in two retail stores one was Saks off fifth and on the floor I heard a manager discussing scheduling what employees are coming in and the hours they are working.

Has anyone noticed that Saks 5th avenue has terrible customer service? i returned a pair of shoes and their service has been so awful. did anyone else get the same issue?

Hello,
Please if you read this if you can help me. I purchased a very expensive ring with Saks.com when I received it it did not fit well and I changed my mind so I used their QR code to send it back and shipped back with Fedex. They received the item and several agents told me they received it as well then I waited for over a month for my refund constantly being told it would take 10-14 business days. Then they kept telling me to keep waiting. Now they're telling me that the package arrived empty and they would not refund me. I have proof of weight and receipt. This is a lot of money and I cannot believe this is happening. Can anyone help me please or tell me if this is common with Saks.com?

Since you are getting conflicting information, how did you fund this purchase?
If you paid by credit card, suggest you consider opening a dispute.
Would like not to think this is commonplace at Saks.com, but since this is an expensive
ring & you have been patient expecting a refund, you need to be pro-active, NOW..
Since you have all your FEDEX info, the item was received & hopefully the names & dates of when
you spoke with customer service agents your cc should be able to help.
If you purchased the item using your SAKS credit card, you will likely have to be pro-active as well
Be patient

What happened to your issue I am facing a huge issue right now?

i did eventually get my refund. I had to follow up endlessly with them and it took like 6 weeks to finally get a refund for the item. I even put in a complaint with the Australian Department of Consumer affairs as they were just so bad. Get your refund, and never shop there again.

This sounds similar to what happened to me! Eventually I had to call my CC company and they refunded me.
