Saks Fifth Ave. Vs. LV Store... any differences?

I want to buy my first LV bag. If the one I want is not in stock at the LV store, will they order it for you? Will they do that at Saks? Which is better to buy one at?

I really don't think there is a difference. Just shop where you feel most comfortable at. As for ordering merchandise, I think both stores will do their best to accomodate you and find what you are looking for.

Exactly the same... If you call and order it from any out of state saks (from where you live) they do not charge you sales tax.

For me, the customer service is always better at Saks or Neimans than at the boutiques.

You can use Saks gift cards there which is a huge plus if you redeem cc points for saks gc.

The SA are always more friendly and alot more helpful at Saks. Not LV drones, they are actual people! LOL

I've noticed the Saks sales people are MUCH nicer... will make for a better first buying experience

In Saks you can use a Saks charge( Good for me) You can also get Saks points when you purchase something on your card.

I use Saks for several reasons:
1) The nearest LV store is 2 1/2 hrs away in the state I live (there are only 2 stores)
2) No sales tax because I order from the Saks in Dallas, Texas
3) Have a Saks card that earns points
4) Always excellent customer service
5) 30 day return policy versus 14 day from LV store

I've had the opposite experience. The SAs at the LV store in Pittsburgh are always super nice to me, the ones in SAKS (I only went once) were rather snobby and rude to me.

I've only ever had good experiences with the Saks SAs, but the boutiques vary by location -- The Forum Shops (Las Vegas) LV SAs are all really helpful, but I've also had snooty SAs at some other boutiques.
