Saint Laurent Sunset from Jomashop

So I purchased this Saint Laurent Sunset bag from Jomashop for a really good price/sale. With all the excitement (I’ve really wanted this bag for a long time) I completely overlooked some things. For one, it didn’t come with the tassel like on the site !! Has this ever happened to anyone ?

It also didn’t come in the black YSL box like the other items I’ve bought from the Saint Laurent site - but I know sometimes these boutiques or third party sellers do not give you those boxes. It did come with the dust bag & authentication cards but I’m really bummed about the tassel & now I’m thinking it might be fake ☹️ Even the box & cards say it’s suppose to have the tassel. Has anyone else ever experienced something like this. I’m waiting to hear back from Jomashop.

What did they say about the tassel? Could that be why it was discounted? Maybe the missing tassel was taken into consideration when they priced the items. If you think its fake you can always return it.

I've ordered from jomashop a total of 4 times and made pretty expensive purchases. 2 Gucci purchases came with the designer boxes, with no issues and in pristine condition. A Burberry backpack, came with a dustbag but no box.
My latest purchases was the Saint Laurent Dark Green Lou Camera bag. Dustbag included but no box. When I opened it, it seem someone had inspected it or repackage it because the handbag zipper was open and the tassel was bent. The strap was still wrapped in the foam wrapper paper. Overall, it was in new condition. A $1250 bag, but I paid $830! Can't complain!

Hi everyone,

Here’s an update. How they came up with that refund amount - I don’t know. I’m requesting a replacement. If that’s not possible, free postage so that I can return the item.

Most likely someone removed it, maybe ask someone from saint laurent repairs if they can replace the tassel part. ,Use the part refund money for that
Very odd as its not easy to remove.

I’m honestly just looking to get a complete replacement from Jomashop which I don’t think should be hard because they still have the bag listed for sale on the site. I also don’t understand why that wasn’t the first option. They can resell the bag that I currently have to someone (that doesn’t care about the tassel) for $200 less.

The letters are a bit too close to each other (first pic) comparing to one shows on YSL website (second pic). Thanks!

Hey. Sorry for the late reply. I returned it & got my money back since they refused to exchange or provide the tassel. At this point, I just don’t trust them so I don’t think I’ll be shopping from there anymore. & yes, the differences you posted in the pictures are somewhat alarming. Maybe you can go to YSL & have them confirm whether or not the bag is legit.

I think I read that Jomashop sells returned items that are in perfect condition but the packaging has ruined (missing dust bag or tags) so it can’t be resold at the designer boutique or department store. Someone must have removed the tassel and returned that bag and it either went unnoticed or noticed too late and it wound up at Jomashop.

Hi, so I recently purchased a sunset off of Poshmark and this is my first time. I’ve read reviews about how their authentication can be somewhat shaky. Could you let me know if y’all bags are similar? This bag is 2018. The dust bag is different from my sac de jour which is a 2020 as well as the writing on the plastic wrap of the cards. I’m not too well versed with YSL bags so any help is appreciated!
