Ladies,
I cant decide between the saint laurent sac du jour or the celine mini belt bag. I have been thinking about both these bags for so long. They both fit the bill in terms of classic style that will never feel dated but which would you choose? I also haven't seen the celine in person so don't know how easy it is to get in and out of the bag. I have only read reviews about it. That being said, I love the aesthetic of both bags and just can't decide. Thoughts?
i would go for a neutral color in either case. I also know the sac du jour can be heavy as well.

Which would you go for if you can only choose one?

Thanks for any input!

If you want to go for a classic design with no preference, pick YSL. I think Celine may look dated sooner than you think, but it has more personality. I personally like Celine though, but I feel that the longevity of the design is less than YSL.

I'd vote for the belt!
I've had both and sold my SDJ..
are you planning to buy the small/ baby size...? I think it's mainly the weight issue of SDJ that puts me off. the nano/ baby was okay but got no zipper. some of the newer versions are canvas lined and therefore lighter - but being suede-lined is what makes the SDJ more special (I think)
it depends on how u'd like to use your bag? the SDJ can be worn crossbody, the belt can't. yes the belt can be difficult to get in and out of at the beginning, but soon you'll get used to it (for me, less than a month's time!) and also for the leather choice, SDJ shows scratches more (unless you go for pebbled or patent, or don't mind scratches). the drummed/ saffiano celine got is more resistant to scratches :)
I agree the SDJ is more of a classic in this case.. I'd say go for the one which you'd use more and suits your needs more!

I am concerned about the weight issue but I do love the Suede interior more. I was thinking of one size bigger than nano as it would be my work bag. I love both bags but can only afford one.. Argh such a dilemma
