When I went to Honolulu in 2018, it was 20% less than mainland prices.

Me too! Got a beautiful croc embossed Kate, it was exactly 20% off! (And the sales tax in Honolulu was only 4.71% or something.) Great selection at the Kalakaua location although I found the service was better at Ala Moana.

To confirm, my friend recently came back from her Oahu trip with a new YSL woc, 20% off whole boutique with 4ish% sales tax. I’m wondering if the savings are as big as this in Europe? I’m contemplating my first ever shopping trip in the near future and the destination is undecided.

As said above, it's cheaper than mainland. And their store its just AMAZING.
